Job description

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

At Corp Eng, we build world-leading business solutions that scale a more helpful Google for everyone. As Google’s IT organization, we provide end-to-end solutions for organizations across Google. We deliver the right tools, platforms, and experiences for all Googlers as they create more helpful products and services for everyone. In the simplest terms, we are Google for Googlers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the continuous improvement and meticulous hygiene of our centralized architecture repository (powered by LeanIX). Ensure application metadata, system capabilities, and cross-pillar integration flows are mapped and documented with the highest standards of accuracy to serve as a reliable global source of truth.
  • Partner with globally spread product, engineering, and architecture teams across corporate engineering domains to drive alignment, foster collaboration, and help teams adopt enterprise standards, enabling faster delivery and standard practices globally.
  • Assist in defining, establishing, and maintaining core architectural foundations. This includes helping build and curate the EA Toolkit of approved reference architectures, reusable design patterns, standard guidelines, and approved technologies to drive consistency.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, systems design, corporate IT, technical program management, or business process engineering.
  • Experience organizing review pipelines, managing technical project queues, and facilitating cross-team technical alignment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to read complex integration diagrams, map system dependencies, and systematically spot application redundancies.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with globally spread partners and influence distributed developer teams.
